I want to thank everyone who took the time to share their perspective on my previous post. I genuinely appreciate it—it helped me more than I expected.
This is clearly something I need to work on within myself. I used to think my neurodivergence only affected me, but I’m starting to realize it also affects the people around me.
I also wanted to say something about the forum itself. In my opinion, this space should focus more on real situations related to lookism / BP, personal experiences, and genuine questions. When I wrote my post, I had a lot on my mind and, to be honest, I thought: “Why am I asking for help in a group of people that sometimes doesn’t take things seriously?” but I still did it—and it actually helped me.
Because of that, I think this forum works best when people post real, meaningful discussions instead of low-effort or repetitive questions. I understand some of them can be funny, but I think more value should be given to posts that actually share real experiences.
My post isn’t unique—it’s just another example of the same type of internal conflict people here go through. I just think it would be better if this kind of content was taken more seriously instead of diluted by low-effort threads or empty signals like “DNR” that don’t really add anything.
At the end of the day, this is a lookism forum, not a place to look “cool” or edgy by using labels without purpose.
