Sugar diet
Solution
Pretty sure its based on the assumption that copious amounts of sugar will boost your igf1 into the sky thus enabling your body to build lots of muscle and bone tissue, that comes from the misassumption that because sugar spikes insulin it also spikes igf1 but thats very simplified, sugar alone does not spike igf1 (study) Igf1 is heavily dependant on gh which high sugar intake supresses (study)

tldr its cope

Yeah agreed anyone that has looked into how GH and Igf1 work together will know this is complete bullshit

True, but generally high carb mogs low carb in many aspects unrelated to IGF-1. Also in argument to the IGF-1 feedback,IGF-1 which inhibits pituitary release of GH mostly implies on fully matured individuals. During developmental stages,IGF-1 feedback is blunted and not close to the mature state. I’m not suggesting carbs isn’t something that should be abused before sleeping, during the major GH pulse byt it’s generally not gonna mess your GH secretion if you then and there eat carbs before sleeping during development.

Obviously eating carbs once and then before bed wont mess up anything but chronically having high sugar intake will. Carbs do supress gh in children as well not just in adults though not sure if you meant that >source<

I meant that individuals in developmental phases have a more blunter IGF-1 feedback. Not that it’s completely eliminated but what I mean is IGF-1 feedback is more significant in adults and more irrelevant in children and pubescents. With “irrelevant” of course just reduced, still relevant but not to a degree as fully mature individuals.
