They just measured the ratios of chads made an graph made a bell curve for deviation and thats its surely not 100% accurate but its problably really accurate to whats ideal

True that beauty cant be fully quantified but calling it pure pseudoscience is a stretch. i mean a lot of facial aesthetic standards came from orthodontics and craniofacial research even if people online overextend it

it's fair bit accurate once you go around measuring a lot of people and realise the different importance of each measurement.
tho using for a rating is stupid, should only be used for surgery planning

When measuring became more mainstream, measurers used pubmed as like the holy bible for ideals and then ultimately skewed some ratios off pure bias its why people in the community used to argue about miniscule features all the time. But taking everything w a grain of salt has always worked so idrgaf.

I know some people working on training an ai model to help with comprising a huge dataset of averageness. The reason there is no fully accurate method of rating between all this time is because no one went thru the effort to gather enough data

Yeah I guess like i said I usually took most of these measurements with a grain of salt, most people cant even take photos properly jfl. The side is the worst to measure because a slight deviance in photo angle can fuck everything up

I don’t think it’s useless, but it should not be an absolute, there a ratios than definitely too much of a deviation like the ESR will effectively detriment the looks of an individual, realistically the ideal average ratios need to be extracted from a very long database of top tier good looking people.but even with all that confirmation ratios are not an absolute but when the deviation from average ideal is too big it can become a real issue, they are a good reference tool hut incomplete for determining real attraction.
