I have a severe deep bite that makes me look like I have SFS. I’m planning to get braces, but I keep seeing on forums that they can cause facial recession. Is that true? I am 18 btw

Braces for overbite correction do not cause maxilla recession; rather, they are designed to correct jaw misalignment, enhance facial profile, and improve jaw growth. While braces improve overbites, any perceived changes in facial structure are typically improvements, not the cause of a recessed maxilla.

don't extract do palate widening instead
Never extract teeth no matter what bullshit they feed your cock washer.
At what age does palate expander stop working? Cuz I talked with a orthodontist who focus on aesthethic and she told me it's only used on 16 to below, she also said that in my case aesthethically I would need a genio
