Kind of just a thread to let me express my political and psychological beliefs on another thing I'm interested in; this is less of a traditional guide and more of a guided discussion. This may assist you or help you figure out how you personally look at looksmaxxing and ideology individually or mutually.

I. STOICISM
An important ideology that has parallels to looksmaxxing is stoicism.
Happiness comes from developing a virtuous character, not external things like wealth or fame.
Virtuous character, many could say, comes with looksmaxxing. If you are constantly working to better yourself, you'll also, in turn, better those around you, if your friends and/or family see you working to better yourself through working out, bettering your health internally, or even statusmaxxing and getting a new job. This is similar to the domino theory/looksflation I've seen a few times in looksmaxxing, where one person looks better and so another does, etc. Although in looksmaxxing, the focus and systems are mainly built on looks and one's physical characteristics, this still sheds light into stoicism with its comprehensive systems and ranking ability. This is shown with the PSL scale and the appeal ratios, using intelligent data and analytics to build an "average", showing people how to be less than the average, how to get to the average, and how to get above the average.

II. NATURALISM
Another important philosophy that has parallels to looksmaxxing is naturalism.
Everything in the universe is natural; there are no supernatural entities, forces, or explanations.
You can somewhat connect this to the looksmaxxing idea of "it's over", this is brought through the idea that nothing external or supernatural can fix or save you other than yourself, if you don't personally stop yourself from becoming ropefuel, then nobody will. Everything that comes to you is natural, and natural things are meant to play out. This is the blackpill philosophy of "it never started" when responding to "it's over". You could further tie this into the whitepill philosophy of "it's never over", showing that you can always work to better yourself, similar to how they do in nature; in nature, everything evolves and grows based on where it's located and what it has available. Humans do the same with people and mating. If you work on yourself and grow yourself, you can further "evolve yourself", proving and disproving both theories at once.
III. NIHILISM
What I find personally to be the most connected and most commonly seen in looksmaxxing, nihilism.
The general assertion that life has no intrinsic meaning, purpose, or value.
Nihilism has a strong place in looksmaxxing, specifically blackpill, it is shown through the determinist belief and the code of moral fairness, showing that despite what you may do or say as a person, nothing truly matters if you're not chad. Blackpill undermines the belief of meritocracy and the growth through what you do; blackpill believes that it's how you look and how you carry yourself. This completely negates, as said previously, any form of meritocracy, which directly relates to nihilism on how traditional outlooks and scores of life are illusory and false. This could also tie into fatalism on how everything is inevitable, and essentially, once again, doesn't matter what you do, if you're born chad, you will get where you need to go no matter what. Fatalism and nihilism both touch on these kinds of topics and fit almost perfectly into place for looksmaxxing, and blackpill specifically.
This is my first time trying to make a guided/formatted post, hope this looks nice and all makes sense. I'm big into politics and philosophy, so I wanted to somewhat bring it into the looksmaxxing space.

If you want more, I can definitely add more, or if you want to debate any of this, just drop a message under the thread.

I totally do I meant in the forum but ik I worded it confusingly
Ah, makes sense, yeah, a lot of people here have a nihilistic perspective on it, and it makes sense, honestly, but I think if you come to everything with an altruistic perspective, then nobody will suffer. You can't change how people around you act, only the people themselves.

I mean I see where theyre coming from but it seems pretty cucked to me overall maybe its just bad people ruining nihilist image but philosphy wise Jean Paul criticized the shit out of nihilism

looksmaxxing is inherently epicurean because all users here believe that being attractive is probably the most important thing you can have because it will make your life better and you will be happier. meaning they do it for happiness, meaning they understand that happiness is the most important thing there is making them epicurean and not stoic. this applies even to the og determinist blackpillers from pre2023

I’m not saying I agree with nihilism, I’m just saying how it is technically possible to link it to looksmaxxing and blackpill, I’ve seen people talk as a nihilist without realising what it is. I agree that it’s stupid.
