This is my second time making this type of thread; every ideology and philosophy listed here was suggested in the thread comments of my last post. If you have more suggestions or think any of this is wrong, let me know. A few of these I only recently learned about and may be incorrect. Feel free to correct.
A belief that all events and actions are predetermined and unavoidable, rendering individual choice and decision ultimately ineffective in changing outcomes. In a fatalist framework, actions may occur, but their results are already fixed by fate, destiny, or some other inescapable order. This type of worldview often leads to resignation of belief, as effort is perceived as useless against a predetermined outcome anyway. Unlike in determinism, fatalism emphasises inevitability without resistance, contrasting with existentialism or absurdism, which emphasise response despite constraint. In looksmaxxing, we see this through the "it's over" outlook, despite any action you may take to yourself, you will never become chad nor will you ascend, you're a hardlocked ltn, and you're destined for nothing.
Epicureanism can easily connect to looksmaxxing as a response to the dissatisfaction those philosophies produce. While blackpill emphasises appearance, hierarchy, and external validation as determinants of worth, Epicureanism argues that such pursuits are "vain desires" that generate anxiety rather than happiness. Despite this vital difference, many looksmaxxers who have been recently blowing up are not known for their happiness or mental situation, but rather for their looks. This shows in Clavicular a lot, somebody recently blew up on TikTok who is known for being a semi-narcissistic nihilist, wanting to look better and constantly mog despite his decreasing mental and potentially physical state. Epicurus believes that a good life depends on tranquillity and freedom from mental disturbance. This is often done through looksmaxxing; if you're good-looking and you mog, you won't have as much stress when it comes to talking to and meeting women, which a lot of people who are ugly struggle with. Epicureanism is one of the harder ones on the list, being that I don't know much about Epicureanism, but I did what I was able to based on some brief PDFs I found. Please correct me in the thread if any of this is wrong!
Absurdism is a position that arises from the conflict between humanity's innate desire for meaning and the universe's apparent indifference to that desire. Humans seek order, justification, and purpose, yet the world offers none that are objective or guaranteed. This opposition creates the "absurd"; unlike in nihilism, absurdism does not conclude that life is worthless and instead argues that meaninglessness should be confronted honestly and lived through defiance. The most commonly associated philosopher for this, Albert Camus, proposed a revolution internally, something looking for freedom and passion as a response, one continues living, creating, and acting meaningfully while fully aware that no ultimate meaning exists; you have to create your own meaning.
Integral to blackpill ideology is the claim that genetics largely determines your social and romantic outcomes. This aligns pretty well with hard determinism, a "sect" of determinism that rejects free will in favour of causal necessity. Individual effort is recognised as marginal or illusory, reinforcing a belief of resignation or betrayal of yourself as opposed to agency. We see this most often with blackpill and hardmaxxing where you see the person pinning and taking peptides to further "redesign" and suit themselves better, rather than keep themself in their box, they work outside the box and use their prior knowledge (of them being ugly) to build a better them, this is almost forced or required as no-one wants to be ugly, tying into the no free-will belief. I don't know a LOT about determinism, or hard determinism specifically, so some second opinions would be great.
Blackpill thinking often reduces human relationships to physical and neurological processes: hormones, facial ratios, and evolutionary impulses. This mirrors reductionist materialism, which denies metaphysical or spiritual dimensions of human experience.
I. FATALISM
All events are predetermined and inevitable, rendering human actions powerless to change outcomes.

II. EPICUREAN(ISM)
Seeking a happy, tranquil life through pleasure, primarily with the absence of pain and mental disturbance.

III. ABSURDISM
Centred on the conflict between humanity's innate search for meaning and the universe's cold, meaningless nature.

IV. DETERMINISM
All events and actions are fixed by prior events and laws, making the future inevitable (and predictable if one had complete knowledge).

V. MATERIALISM
The only thing that matters is prioritising wealth, possessions, and physical comfort as paths to success and happiness.
Looksmaxxing often reduces human relationships and connection to physical and neurological processes; this is taken in the form of facial ratios and harmony, evolutionary impulses, and the hormones each person has. This mirrors reductionist materialism, which denied metaphysical or spiritual dimensions of human experience, this is further backed up by the constant edits you see where it says "What really happened?", Rather than looking at the person's ability to do things or how they treat you, they look only at the looks and potential gain the person could have for their kids. This philosophy isn't just a speculation; however, it's been proven on multiple occasions that women would prefer a good-looking man over an ugly one, regardless of what he has or may have done (As shown in this great post -> https://looksmax.gg/threads/child-r...-of-model-more-convos.6934/page-4#post-164435)The only thing that matters is prioritising wealth, possessions, and physical comfort as paths to success and happiness.
