I'm seeing a dermatologist about accutane this week. What dosage should I try to aim for? Ik they often wait to the extreme of extreme cases to prescribe isotretinoin.

I have a lot of back acne/cysts as well. Compared to what it is during football season, my acne isn't that bad rn, once the season starts in a few weeks it'll be back way worse, with cysts on my face and loads of acne.

If you're in USA most derma are cucks and won't prescribe isotret from my experience

But they will probably put you on 40mg

I would aim for like 20mg tho, less side effects and what not

I haven't had sugar in 3 weeks and I have very little greasy food. Only real food that could be causing some acne is dairy from milk and cheese
You could hop on the isotret and cut back on dairy or food that causes u to break out

To be honest, the doctors would just give you a dosage they think is good for you anyway. Maybe it's just my doctor, though?

Are you sure 20mg will be enough? My acne used to be terrible terrible. Like my entire forehead was red and every square inch there were probably 3 pimples, it was awful

Yes it will be enough, it builds up in your system all the same. 40mg is just faster and more intense

if tret hasn’t helped you it might be your diet

what do you eat in a day?
It's helped a lot, it's just not enough to get rid of all the acne. I havent had sugar in 3 weeks and generally avoid greasy food and salt. I think the only possible diet part causing my acne could be dairy
