Would a Myofunctional Device work for an underbite?

I just found out about this and have never heard about it before. It's supposed to be able to fix and underbite, but mainly used to fix teeth and help straighten them by improving the muscles in your jaw, at least from my understanding, that's the purpose. I'm not sure if this is correct or wouldn't work, and was wondering if anyone has tried it before.

if the underbite is skeletal then no only surgery i think that device is used to guide jaw growth in children but i might be wrong
