So big iq thread bhai u motivated me to play doki dokiBefore I start, doki doki literature club is a game where you play as a highschool boy and join a literature club and write poems with 4 girls, it starts off as a dating simulator but turns into a psychological horror, there are mods which influence more of a dating simulation and they are definitely recommended after finishing the base game
Intro
The characters are cute schoolgirls all with complex, deep and interesting personalities - ddlc can help you better understand people's emotions and take deeper meaning into their personality, choice and words. For instance one of the characters yuri - is a very shy person at base level, but the more you play the game and spend time with her the more you understand her complexities. Yuris poems are very imaginative and metaphorical, making you determine the meaning of the poem yourself and how it relates to you as a person.
Improved brain function?
understanding the literature can boost your cognitive complexity by practising pattern recognition, critical thinking (especially deeper poems such as yuris) and help you develop a wider vocabulary. Not only can understanding literature improve your life from a iq stand point but it can also significantly increase your emotional intelligence (this is for you fellow ndcels,) thinking deeper about literature can help you take different perspectives on the text which will help you better understand perspectives in the real world and help you take a more meaningful perspective yourself; emotional writing will help you make you think about whay these words deeper meanings are and especially in ddlc the poems written by the girls all have deep emotions behind them below the surface, emotional labelling and better understanding can help you better more empathetic towards others and better understand your own and others emotional problems.

For example i will use my friend and I, my favourite character is yuri, she has a slender, tall and well proportioned figure; she has a complex, deep personality, being a dandere she is shy, quiet, anxious, very gentle and very emotional, these things lead to her not having many friends and being seen as an outcast. Yuri appealed to me at first because I see myself in her, and enjoy spending time with people who shared personality traits.
On the other hand my friend took a liking to natsuki - a short, petite, bubbly tsundere.

Natsuki is very much like my friend, snappy, tough and playful on the outside, but when alone, soft and insecure. It may not seem like it but taking certain likings to specific characters can really help you better understand yourselfz better choose the people you surround yourself with and future partners
Hormonal effects
The soundtrack has a great atmosphere and in my opinion is very calming and cortisol lowering. Aside from the music, like any video game completing tasks or succes in the game will give you a dopamine boost, for example writing a poem one of the characters likes and unlocking a new side of their personality, and when you succeed you get a sweet romantic scene with the character releasing oxytocin and being in intimate scenarios can spike testosterone due to "winning a mate." Tense scenes will also release adrenaline. The lowered cortisol from listening to the background music and talking to cute girls can decrease sebum production leading to better skin and the testosterone will boost your confidence and maybe encourage you to speak to a real woman.
How my personal life improved
After playing ddlc and some mods (I recommend the purity mod,) I've genuinely felt alot better overall, whenever im at school I think to myself "I cant wait to get home and talk to the dokis." It gives my life meaning, the reason I get up in the morning, I listen to the soundtrack at school, when im walking, when im at home, before bed, i dream about being in the literature club. It also has refined my taste in women and I can see deeper meaning behind people and life in general. I no longer desire a real intimate connection with someone because I have doki doki literature club right in my pocket whenever I want, now this might seem like a negative but for me its a really big positive, I always craved intimacy, I wanted someone to care about me and I want someone to care about, I no longer have that desire, the dokis care about me and I care about them.

TLDR - Doki Doki Literature Club will help you develop a deeper understanding about yourself, others and the world around you, I absolutely love this game and would definitely recommended it to anyone and everyone.
