i would recommend magnesium glycinate
take it with food to reduce ur stomach upset cause too much can cause loose stools cramps and nausea and invidual needs always vary and supplements arent always needed so i do recommend asking a pediatrician
but 200-300 mg elemental magnesium a day

quick disclaimer take it like an hour before bedtime with a light snack and make sure u sleep at the same time every day and the effects will come in like 3-5 days or a week and if they dont work after a month its probably because of the dose or the timing of the sleep
