St.Greypiller St.Greypiller I use Tails OS quite frequently, specifically for anything crypto or other shit, I've been using Windows but I'm thinking of switching to Linux soon, what do you recommend? I'm thinking Kali but I really don't know, I just want a faster laptop tbh fed up of all this bloatware

I'll be honest it would definitely have to be beginner friendly, I studied computer science briefly in college so it's not a problem to learn Linux, I'm sure within a week I'll be blasting through code but I'm going to put my ego to the side and say beginner friendly, I still need a decent UI/base to help support me actully LEARN Linux.

I don't mind parrot OS either but just let me know.

kde is the most mogger desktop environment in my opinion. cinnamon is shit dont use that hence why i dont recommend mint due to its poor kde compatibility

and whats YOUR personal opinion on this specific OS?
i think its pretty neat. for beginners it combines the comfort of ubuntu and the wide repo with the beautiful kde DE. once you advance i recommend you try fedora

Yeah I just like it cause it’s the first thing I used but didn’t really use it that long it’s really bloated and lots of unnecessary stuff
"bloated" distros arent necessarily bad. I like arch but having to setup shit for like 2 hours is ass ngl since it comes with basically nothing

will have a look into fedora, looks pretty mogger too ngl, and to think I was actually thinking about Kali Linux :banderas::banderas::banderas:
get the kde version. also when writing to the usb make sure to use fedora mediwriter cause with normal flashing tools it can have issues on windows.

Nah I’m talking about him using Kali fedore is fine since he new
kali is the most bloated piece of shit distro ever. just install the tools you need seperately or if you have issues with installing them on your distro just liveboot parrot os of a usb
