And there’s always a better flamethrower (even tho he claim someone to have the best flamethrower in the world so a better flamethrower existing would render that claim false) but philosophy doenst resemble a flamethrower in any way or shape and what he said isn’t really about it having resemblance to flamethrower but there being a bigger fish which in philosophy equates to there being a better thesis or philosophic idea or argument that is better than an older one so to say tht philosophy resembles x because there’s always a bigger and better x is pure nonsense because you can just say that philosophy resembles x,y… because each y there can exist a better y
