Trust no one. This has saved me many times even if it can also piss people off or alienate them. Never give anyone information. I have never benefitted and always regretted giving people information about me. They will use it against you when it suits them.
List of things I do out of paranoia:
In general I always assume that people are lying and try to expose them. I even do this at my normie wagecucking job. I gave them a fake address. I never tell my colleagues anything important about my life.
Yes these security measures will probably seem trivial to the autistic coders and criminals on this board but as a normal person I find this quite a lot. For a while I was very paranoid since I am the owner of this forum. But I consulted a lawyer and he told me it's all good as long as the forum rules are adjusted. Which I did years ago. Also the forum is much more tame now.
List of things I do out of paranoia:
- Multiple layers of security to conceal my IP address
- Encrypted HDD
- Never talk about sensitive matters with a phone in the room
- Scan my area when I'm walking outside and make sure I'm not being followed
- Carry self defence equipment outdoors
- Make sure my door is always locked with multiple locks
- Think of everyone's motives and intentions
- Suspect people and analyse their behavior
- Try to find inconsistencies and lies in people's behavior and expose them
- Always keep everyone at a distance and never tell them too much
- Never invite my colleagues to my place
