I've been using a Tretinoin cream, 0.05% every night for approximately 6 months. Should I get a new prescription of 0.08%-0.1% or should I just take accutane? The reasons I'm hesitant to do accutane is because I play football and track, so big knee issues. I'm not sure if it gets passed down, but 2 of my uncles took accutane as a kid and they both had bad back pain and now have arthritis.

Here's how bad my acne is after 6 months of 0.05% tretinoin:

Solution
From the top of my head only 20% or so of people get aches/ bone issues but due to your family’s past I suspect you have a polymorphism that makes you more susceptible to this issue in this case I’d still take accutane but just micro dose it at 5 mg. I’d also use topical CB on your skin for acne as it also has a high rate of curing acne.

i would also start to use 0.5-1mg of dutasteride or a topical androgen blocker like RU5841 or clascosterone to avoid getting raped by the norwood reaper. i think you can start low 5-10mg isotretinoin, id start with 5mg as this isn't that bad.

the minox is not gonna stop the recession, minox works but needs to be combined with a topical anti androgen blocker like RU5841 or clascosterone.

Doesnt it depend on his situation tho? If his hairline was always like this would he even need the anti androgen?
