I see dozens of posts per day that either use blackpill lingo outright or talk about looksmaxxing in a straight or indirect way every time I go on social media. People even talking about actors or characters looks, do mog battles, talking about side profiles and bone mass and shit in communities that do not have anything to do with the blackpill. Even in unrelated shit you keep hearing from normies casually mentioning PSL terms, such as brutal, over, holy, mog, jfl, slayer, etc.
I think even if the real pipeline that made blackpill discourse mainstream was Wheat Waffles followed by that faggot James Sapphire blowing up around Q3 2021 into Q2 2022 what’s happening now is on another level. Blackpill stuff have never been this rooten in mainstream youth discourse. BP adjacent figures are now treated like legitimate celebrities and even the most empty normies can recognize surprisingly advanced terms and immediately know what’s being referenced. In every western country today you can find young subgroups casually referring to blackpill concepts, debating them, or at least reposting BP edits/reels etc
I remember when I used to do Yubo raids with friends I met on PSL spaces. Back then NT normies were completely flabbergasted when we spoke unapologetically in blackpill terms and referenced male models like Lachowski. They looked at us like we were freaks, with real contempt when we exposed them to that esoteric information. Fast forward a few years, and for the same people, it’s normal when someone reposts blackpill edits.
To me that’s exactly how it always goes. Anything unpopular or obscure gets treated with disgust until it hits the growth phase where associating with it becomes social proof. Then once it gets massive and the late majority floods in, suddenly everyone tries to signal status by using the vocabulary and the excepted behaviour. One of the clearest indicators is watching people spam buzzwords they only half understand just to feel cool and in the know, greycel, jestermaxxing, peptides, HGH, steroids, HTN, mog, etc.
That is a deeply normie impulse, choosing volume over depth and filling every post with BP lingo just to signal belonging
A more relevant example is foids who have fully absorbed this stuff into their behavior and worldview. Now you see dozens of them larping incel status, calling themselves unlovable chuds femcels and acting quirky with Wojak memes long after that whole aesthetic died and became a rotten corpse for normie cosplayers. They think they are tapping into some obscure outsider character those old 4chan memes once carried but really they just look like normies doing what normies always do which is absorbing a new code and spreading it to the crowd and directing other people into it like ants adhering to a trail until the imitation becomes instinct.
That’s part of why I’ve started to feel like lookism as a movement can’t hold any truth anymore. What matters more is maximizing spiritual ascension and status leverage, getting as close as possible to something higher, and staying detached from the late majority wave that’s always behind the curve.
Tiktok and modern algorithms make it almost impossible to keep niche doctrines and subcultures out of the mainstream for long. Eventually a huge percentage of the internet just becomes one indistinguishable slop of hybrid 4chan, PSL, nigger adjacent culture and terminally online personalities. There will always be exceptions but the general direction feels obvious.
And even if someone like Clavicular burns through his 15 minutes pretty fast and ends up remembered as just another lolcow, it still seems clear that looksmaxxing culture is going to keep expanding. I honestly think it’s on track to gradually replace gym culture which has been mainstream for about a decade, because it maps more directly onto Zoomers obsessions and insecurities. It’s also funnier, more edgy, and it appeals to the younger crowd that feels like they missed the golden age of the blackpill either because they were too young or because they were NPC doomscrollers back then. And then again, if that’s true, we’re only at the start of a larger hegemony.
