You mean if you already have top-tier bone structure, a beard might actually hide your best features, but if you have a recessed jaw, a beard saves you. Absolutely true individual facial harmony dictates the final look

well yea, but also depends on ur archetype, a prettyboy would look better with a clean shaven face whereas a more masculine/handsome face would actually gain from leaving light stubble further playing on their dimorphism

Alr bro I get your point, but the study literally addresses this exact thing. Check the abstract here

"stubble and beards dampened the polarising effects of extreme masculinity and femininity"

So if a prettyboy has too much of a feminized or neotenous face, stubble acts as the ultimate balancer. It dampens that extreme look and forces facial harmony so he doesn't look like a literal child. It’s a tier-jump for both archetypes ngl, just depends on how you groom it
