Hello, this is going to be my first “real” thread. I am going to be discussing Colostrum and its benefits.
Firstly, Colostrum is the first milk produced post-partum by mammals and is compositionally distinct from mature milk.
Colostrum is filled with Proteins, glycans, fats, numerous, minerals, cytokines, nucleotides, growth factors, and more. Colostrum also has less lactose compared to mature milk content.
Colostrum is a complex liquid and a prerequisite for calf’s to develop. Furthermore, the function and development of the Gi track are molded by colostrum intake and it also affects the metabolic and endocrine systems as well as the nutritional state of neonatal calf’s.
Colostrum also boosts immune support function and many benefits to a humans health because of its because of its content in nutrients including;
Colostrum is also rich in growth factors, such as IGF-1, IGF-2, TGF-A, and TGF-B
Colostrum also improves gut health by lots, and overall immune system health. For example, Colostrum can strengthen the gut barrier, support immune function and even promote gut healing.
