yeah thats what i meant that i dont agree with the rating bcuz it dosent include all,and i wouldnt rate myself that either
well, its the most commonly used system, and is the best we got, how new are u to this? the PSL scale its been a thing since 2015 (i didn't not join back then, but if you check the archive from .net it has been there for a while), also all systems are flawed as looks are subjective to some level, specially when there isn't a really big noticeable difference from individual to individual.

The Aspects of beauty and male attractiveness

Disclaimer: This thread is directed to the newest audience of the wieder looksmaxxxing forums/spaces that are new to the conversation of the

The PSL Scale

To get this guide started i will mention the most widely used rating system in looksmaxxing forums and how it works, it's important to understand that the PSL acronym is the combination of the three defunct forums, PUAhate, Sluthate, and lookism.net, as most of you already know, looksmaxorg is considered the soul successor to lookism. The PSL scale works as a system that instead of calculating an individual's SMV/Appeal it rather gives an objective rating using facial harmony, dimorphism, coloring, symmetry, miscellaneous features amongst others to get an objective rating.
Because a facial rating of 10 or even 9 doesn't exist, the PSL scale only ranges up to 8, with 4 serving as the midpoint. To determine an individual's real-life rating score, you can utilize their PSL score and simply add to it approximately 1.5 to 1.75 points.

The aspects of beauty: from the animals to math ratios

It is important to understand that attractiveness functions as a key biological principle in evolution, its not about "Muh humans like what's beautiful n shieet cuz they egotistical n shieet", its a much more complicated mechanism really, as over millions of years, humans (and our ancestors) developed preferences for certain traits because they signal advantages for survival and reproduction, what we call "the survival of the fittest". In simple terms, finding someone attractive is like your brain's quick scan for a good mate: someone healthy, fertile, and likely to produce strong offspring. This is part of what we know as "sexual selection," where traits that help attract partners or compete for them get passed down through generations, as the brain subconsciously will always look the better genes, as its more primitive function is will always be to ensure the survival of your offspring, so yes, you, being attracted to a thick Stacy is your brain using its most natural instinct of survival, the truth is that nature is brutal, and nature tends to do eugenics, as the weakest genes are always eliminated naturally, as so yes, nature can be cruel and indifferent.

Features and facial ratios: The eye area

The eye region carries major weight in attractiveness, matching the jaw's importance. Masculine eye should be giving a strong, piercing stare are called aka "hunter eyes". In contrast, eyes that seem soft and weary "prey eyes "can significantly harm the attractiveness of a face, they are also a very strong indicator of ideal dimorphic traits such as a prominent sunken brow ridge The next categories listed are what determines most of these aspects

Eye Shape
The main element affecting eye appeal is its form. The perfect eye has a width three times its height, called the palpebral fissure length (PFL). the most attractive part if possessed comes from sharp medial canthus at the inner eye corner, a straight upper eyelid, and a firm lower eyelid showing little sclera (the eye's white part).

Canthal Tilt
A perfect canthal tilt is 5-7 degrees, leaning slightly positive. Above 10 degrees it starts to look feline and can look "weird", and a negative tilt gives usually gives a unattractive not alert tired look

Eye Brows
Ideal eyebrows are dark, dense, and thick, signaling health too. The ideal for men is lower-positioned eyebrows framing the eyes nicely. A slight positive tilt is ideal, as negative tilted eyebrows make the eyes seem droopy. Real low-set brows should show almost no gap vertically between the eyes and brows.

Eye Spacing
Eyes should avoid being too near or far apart. The best interpupillary distance (pupil gap) is 44.5% to 47% of face width in men. Alternatively, eyes should sit about one eye's width apart.

UEE (Upper Eyelid Exposure)
Too much upper eyelid show is unideal, leading to a rounded eye look. The best is little to no exposure.

Depth of the Eyes
Deep-set eyes mark masculinity in men, often with a strong brow ridge. This makes eyes seem sunk deeper in the skull for protection. Bulging eyes are considered very unideal and not desired, this feature depends a lot on dimorphism

Surrounding Orbital Bones
Enough bone around the eyes prevents dark circles and hollow under-eye bags. Poor under-eye support harms eye looks overall, this is determined by the zygomatic arch, maxilla, frontal bone, medial and latera rim.

Eye Color and Eye Lashes
Core traits form the eye area's base, but color and lashes are super important. Exotic shades of colors like blue, gray, hazel, green create a stronger contrast. Distinct, curled lashes frame eyes nicely, making PFL seem longer.

Features and facial ratios: The Nose

Noses can have flaws yet keep harmony. Shape appeal is mostly subjective. Ethnic groups have varied nose forms, all harmonious if reasonable.
The nose is shaped by the next elements

The Nose
Noses can have flaws yet be harmonious. Shape appeal is mostly subjective. Ethnic groups have varied nose forms, it a very subjective trait depending ethnicity
The nose is shaped by the next elements

Nose Angles
Side profile nose angles aid harmony. They vary a bit by ethnicity, like Asians often with higher nasofrontal angles—these are broad rules. Nasofrontal angles are 106-130 degrees, sharper preferred in men. Nasolabial angles are 90-117 degrees, sharper for masculine, less upturned nose. Nasofacial angle is 30-40 degrees for normal alignment. Face convexity and proportions matter too, but need detailed math.

Nose Shape
Ideal shape varies by ethnicity, but a slim bridge widening at base is favored. Minimal nostril show or upturn is good. Front view: avoid bulbous or asymmetric look, width fits between eyes. Even feminine shapes work if close to these ideals.

Features and facial ratios: The Jaw
Jawline
Jawline importance equals eye area. It shouldn't recede or jut too much, indicating a malocclusion or bite issues. Extra body fat hides jaw definition.

Ramus
Men with longer ramus show sexual dimorphism, leading to desired jaw forms and angles. This places gonion below mouth line, seen as appealing.

Jaw Angle
Sharper gonial angles in men create strong, masculine jaws. Best range: 112-123 degrees, up to 126 degrees okay. Over 130 degrees is less desirable, yielding weaker jaws.

Bigonial Width
Jaw width ideally 85% to 93% of cheekbone width, not too slim or broad.

Mandible
Mandible needs forward growth, ideal ramus to mandible length ratio 5:7.

Chin
Men's chin vertical height ideally 2 to 2.5 times philtrum. It must fit overall face, avoiding oversize or jutting.

Jaw Frontal Angle
Front view jawline balances, not too sloped or flat. Attractive faces have 84-97 degree jawline angle, slight variations fine. For harmony, ipsilateral alar angle within 15 degrees of this, ideally 0-5 degrees.

Features and facial ratios: The lips
Lips matter a lot in beauty and shouldn't be ignored. They're very expressive, as they can express non-verbal cues. They show feelings like joy, sensuality, playfulness, key in social exchanges. They are a make or break feature.

Lips form from specific parts.

Thickness
Against common view, fuller lips are masculine and more desired.

Cupid's Bow
Key is a sharp cupid's bow and upward-curved philtrum.

Lip Seal
Shapes vary by ethnicity, but consistent, straight seal beats irregular.

Width
Men's ideal lip width exceeds the nose, 1.42 to 1.56 times wider. Lower lip height ideally 1.5 to 2 times upper.

Side Profile
Side view: upper lip slightly ahead of lower. On the nasomental (E) line, the upper lip is farther back than lower.

Features and facial ratios: Facial Harmony
Facial harmony consists of measuring ratios and individual areas and places of the face

Facial Thirds
Face splits into horizontal thirds, each ideally one-third total height: forehead, midface, lower (lips/chin) at ~33%. Men prefer slightly bigger lower third.

Symmetry
Many models have some asymmetry. If not too obvious, it doesn't hurt appeal. But in eyes, nose, mouth—attention spots—it's more visible.

Midface Ratio
This measures pupil space vs midface height. Men's ideal: 0.95 to 1.0. Longer midface gives horseface look.

Facial Width to Height Ratio (FWHR)
High FWHR appeals. Attractive men: 1.9 to 2.05. Lower FWHR makes face seem long, too compact and also unappealing.

Bitemporal Width
Forehead width should equal jaw. A much wider forehead tapering to a narrow jaw looks like a lightbulb.

the cheekbones feature high placement. High ones signal ideal face growth, unisex trait. Higher is better; low ones flaw, causing melting/sagging face.

Men generally have less zygomatic projection than women, due to stronger nose, jaw, brow ridge making cheekbones seem less standout. But some prominence is still wanted.

High cheekbones identified by: widest face near eyes; ogee curve in 3/4 profile; ogee curve front view; ogee outline over half midface length (shorter means lower); slight eye-near protrusion (more means higher).

Features and facial ratios: coloring, skin, hair, health indicators

Skin, hair, health are vital. Even with great features and harmony, bad skin reduces appeal. Receding hairline harms beauty, disrupts proportions. Smooth, clear skin and thick, shiny hair link to youth, so yes, health indicator are law, as they signal what they say= good health, which is ideal and wanted for better offspring and reproductive success,
Ideal skin should be smooth, clear, even toned and without any nasolabial folds, wrinkles or acne
View attachment 30950
Hair needs thickness, minimal receding. Slight M-shape hairline better than straight. Men favor darker hair: black, brown over blonde, red. Good facial hair density is bonus.
View attachment 30951
/SPOILER]
Ideal coloring can vary a lot depending ethnicity but s light tan with golden warm undertones and a bit of rosy ones is ideal, AKA "The Mediterranean phenotype"
View attachment 30953

Features and facial ratios: Facial Dimorphism
Now this is one of the features greycels get confused the most, as they often confuse appeal with facial dimorphism, this is one of the most subjective features yet, but ideally a strong dimorphism is ideal as it creates more masculine or feminine features depending the case, Hernan Drago, Doutzen Kroes and Brooke shield and Taylor hill are perfect examples of high dimorphism and are often deemed as the most desirable and attractive

im using the traditional psl scale, do u even know what that is?
Ive been within the measuring community longer you have been on the forums cage at ur intellect for thinking that there are no 8's or 9's. Regardless no1 even measures with the PSL scale anymore and its retarded to bring it up. I 100% know for a fact that if I were to ask numerically where you think Chico, Drago, Gandy, or Brad Pitt ranked you wouldn't even be able to answer.

Hair needs thickness, minimal receding. Slight M-shape hairline better than straight. Men favor darker hair: black, brown over blonde, red. Good facial hair density is bonus.

/SPOILER]
Ideal coloring can vary a lot depending ethnicity but s light tan with golden warm undertones and a bit of rosy ones is ideal, AKA "The Mediterranean phenotype"

Features and facial ratios: Facial Dimorphism
Now this is one of the features greycels get confused the most, as they often confuse appeal with facial dimorphism, this is one of the most subjective features yet, but ideally a strong dimorphism is ideal as it creates more masculine or feminine features depending the case, Hernan Drago, Doutzen Kroes and Brooke shield and Taylor hill are perfect examples of high dimorphism and are often deemed as the most desirable and attractive

well, its the most commonly used system, and is the best we got, how new are u to this? the PSL scale its been a thing since 2015 (i didn't not join back then, but if you check the archive from .net it has been there for a while), also all systems are flawed as looks are subjective to some level, specially when there isn't a really big noticeable difference from individual to individual.
well net is a archive now,and i become aware of org in 23 during the never ever met her at all iqlet eara, but i was too depressed to do anything and i came super close to ctbing multiple times, started losing wight 3 month after 2025 and i know a fiar bit now,not saying im super knowledgeable but i know some shit

Ive been within the measuring community longer you have been on the forums cage at ur intellect for thinking that there are no 8's or 9's. Regardless no1 even measures with the PSL scale anymore and its retarded to bring it up. I 100% know for a fact that if I were to ask numerically where you think Chico, Drago, Gandy, or Brad Pitt ranked you wouldn't even be able to answer.
they are all a 1 in a billion face, so what's even ur point?, btw i used the psl scale as its the oldest and most well known system, i never said it had no flaws or that it was perfect, all man made systems are flawed.
