This will be my final thread on thyroid
(DISCLAIMER: This guide is not very in-depth, and only goes over the baseline topics you should know about T3 if you are considering taking it.)

What is T3?
T3, (formally referred to as Liothyronine) is a medication that is commonly used to treat hypothyroidism and other thyroid issues. T3 can also be used to help aid with weight loss, as it increases your metabolic rate above your normal amount.

How T3 Works
T3 works by stimulating the nervous system, specifically targeting increasing your alertness and wakefulness. T3 is commonly taken orally, in the form of a pill, and the dose can vary depending on the brand, or the dosage you purchase.

How To Dose T3
For most people, the starting dosage should be around 25 mcg once a day. It can be further increased as the cycle continues, but the recommended dosage per day is no more than 75 mcg. People who have legitimate thyroid conditions, such as thyroid cancer and hypothyroidism, are usually prescribed 75-100 mcg for seven days at a time. These people are also usually given radioactive iodine in collaboration with the T3, and this high dosage is not recommended without doctor supervision.

Benefits of T3
Some benefits of T3 that are more focused towards the fat loss/metabolic side of things can include the following:
  • Increased catabolism
  • Improved fat loss
  • Improved digestion
  • Endocrine organ health
  • Healthy linear bone growth and bone remodeling

Side Effects of T3
While T3 has benefits, you also have to be cautious of the side effects, which vary from person to person. Side effects of taking T3 may include:
  • Sensitivity to heat
  • Anxiety
  • Headaches
  • Cramps
  • Trouble falling asleep
  • Increased heart rate

Summary/Conclusion
In conclusion, T3 is a very useful drug for semi-long term weight loss, and can be very effective and safe if used with caution. T3 is nowhere near a magical pill that will make you lose a ton of fat, but when paired with other things it can be very effective, as well as a safe option for a longer term drug to stay lean.
