Discussion Suggestion: cooldown period before posting, after joining the forum (3 Viewers)

There should be a cooldown period after joining the forum
about 48 hours or perhaps a week.


This will prevent new members from immediately spreading misinformation and encourage them to educate themselves by reading BOTB and section threads, which are accessible only after registration.


By learning the basics first, they will avoid posting nonsense, promoting higher-level discussions instead of TikTok-style content, which is often all they know.


Additionally, reading the rules after joining will discourage spamming and rule-breaking since members will understand that low-effort posts can be punished or removed.


They will value their accounts and follow the rules to avoid temporary or permanent bans, rather than simply creating new accounts to post immediately.


This approach will also help reduce raids.
