INTRODUCTION
Skin is one of the essential features that chads hold. Most models have flawless/perfect skin, or use makeup to achieve that "perfect" skin look. It's important to have a good skincare routine and to study your skin well to find the best type of skincare that suits you.

SKIN ANATOMY
1. Epidermis (Outer Layer) The epidermis is the body’s outermost barrier.
Layers of the epidermis:

Stratum corneum – A tough barrier, made of dead keratinized cells.
Stratum lucidum – only in thick skin (palms, soles)
Stratum granulosum – keratin formation
Stratum spinosum – strength, flexibility
Stratum basale – stem cells, melanocytes

2. Dermis (Middle Layer) Supplies nutrients to epidermis
Sub-layers of the dermis:
Papillary dermis – thin & loose connective tissue that forms fingerprints.
Reticular dermis – dense connective tissue

3. Hypodermis (Subcutaneous Layer) Deepest layer of the skin
Functions of the hypodermis:
Insulation
Energy storage (fat)
Shock absorption
Anchors skin to underlying structures

SYSTEMS AND SCALES
Fitzpatrick scale - Measures your skin type and dictates how easily you can tan & how long it'll take. I won't talk about this scale because I've already talked about it in my other guides in the past.
Glogau Wrinkle Classification - Assesses photoaging severity
Lancer Ethnicity Scale - Classifies skin by ethnic background, etc.
Baumann Skin Typing System - The main system we'll be talking about here, It is a comprehensive 16-type classification based on four binary traits.
THERE'S MORE THAT I WON'T LIST, BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT REALLY RELATED TO LOOKISM AND RATHER MORE THAN IDENTIFYING SKIN DISEASES.

How to figure out which type of skin you have
Here are the lists of skin types, from the Baumann Skin Typing System.
Skin TypeCodeMeaning
1DSNTDry, Sensitive, Non-pigmented, Tight
2DSNWDry, Sensitive, Non-pigmented, Wrinkled
3DSPTDry, Sensitive, Pigmented, Tight
4DSPWDry, Sensitive, Pigmented, Wrinkled
5DRNTDry, Resistant, Non-pigmented, Tight
6DRNWDry, Resistant, Non-pigmented, Wrinkled
7DRPTDry, Resistant, Pigmented, Tight
8DRPWDry, Resistant, Pigmented, Wrinkled
9OSNTOily, Sensitive, Non-pigmented, Tight
10OSNWOily, Sensitive, Non-pigmented, Wrinkled
11OSPTOily, Sensitive, Pigmented, Tight
12OSPWOily, Sensitive, Pigmented, Wrinkled
13ORNTOily, Resistant, Non-pigmented, Tight
14ORNWOily, Resistant, Non-pigmented, Wrinkled
15ORPTOily, Resistant, Pigmented, Tight
16ORPWOily, Resistant, Pigmented, Wrinkled
To determine them:
after washing your face (with no products), does your skin feel tight, rough, or flaky within 30 minutes?
If yes, = Dry (D)
If no, = Oily (O)

does your skin often appear shiny, instead of glowy?
if yes, = Potentially Oily (O)
if no, = Dry (D)
Does your skin easily react to products (burns, stings, tingles, gets red)?
If yes, = Sensitive (S)
If no, = Resistant (R)
Do you often break out from products?
If yes, = Sensitive (S)
Do you develop dark spots from pimples?
If yes, = Pigmented (P)
Do you tan easily or form uneven patches from sun exposure?
If yes, = Pigmented (P)

Do you already tend to see sagging, rough texture, & fine lines? If so, You are likely Wrinkled, (W)
If your skin stays smooth for your age with few lines:
Tight (T)

The best way to determine it is just by asking chatgpt to make a Baumann Skin Typing System quiz.

Different types of acne
Non-inflammatory acne
1. Blackheads - clogged pores open at the surface, oxidized material appears dark
2. Whiteheads - clogged pores sealed at the surface, small flesh-colored bumps

Inflammatory acne
1. Papules – small, red, tender bumps without visible pus
2. Pustules – similar to papules but with a visible white or yellow center of pus
3. Nodules – large, painful, solid lumps deep under the skin
4. Cysts – deep, painful, pus-filled lesions that can lead to scarring

Related acne variants:
1. Acne mechanica – caused by friction, pressure, or heat (helmets, straps, tight clothing)
2. Acne cosmetica – triggered by comedogenic makeup or skincare
3. Hormonal acne – typically flares with hormonal changes, often on the jawline or chin
4. Fungal acne - Yeast-related bumps that look like acne but are itchy & uniform
5. Acne conglobata – severe, interconnected nodules and cysts with draining tracts
6. Acne fulminans – sudden, severe, ulcerating acne often accompanied by fever and systemic symptoms

THE CAUSES OF ACNE
Here’s a simple, plain list of acne causes with no numbers and no explanations:

Excess oil
Clogged pores
Bacteria on the skin
Inflammation
Hormones / Puberty
Genetics
Comedogenic products
Sweat and friction
Medications
Diet
Stress
Poor skin habits

HOW TO AID SKIN PROBLEMS
First, You need to find out your skin type and the root (the main cause of it.)
Excess oil > wash gently, use non-comedogenic products, try salicylic acid
Clogged pores > exfoliate lightly, use salicylic acid, avoid heavy creams
Bacteria on the skin > benzoyl peroxide, keep hands off your face, clean pillowcases
Inflammation > use soothing products, avoid harsh scrubs, try niacinamide
Hormones > track cycle, use consistent skincare, see a dermatologist if severe
Genetics > stick to a steady routine, use proven acne ingredients
Comedogenic products > switch to oil-free, non-comedogenic skincare and makeup
Sweat and friction > shower after sweating, avoid tight gear, use breathable fabrics
Medications > talk to your doctor about side effects or alternatives
Diet > try lowering sugar if they trigger breakouts
Stress > focus on sleep, rest, and stress-reducing habits
Poor skin habits > don’t over-wash, avoid picking, keep routine simple

You also need to find skincare products depending on your skin type. Breaking out is normal, but it's less avoidable once you find out your skin type.

The best skincare a chad can ever have is a good diet.

EXTRA
Try to have a meal with healthy meats. Cheap meat can be liver, organs, etc. Those are extremely cheap but awful in tasting unfortunately. I would recommend the Mediterranean diet / carnivore diet. Vegetables are nice but I wouldn't recommend putting a TON of it in your diet. Drink the right amount of water daily, drink plenty of milk.

Have a good workout routine too. If you don't wanna go to the gym cuz it hurts, then try doing small exercises/workouts like taking a walk in the morning or yoga.

Good thread prop won't use tho
