some topical ones are localized scalp irritation (itching, dry skin) and, rarely, unwanted hair growth on adjacent areas, as described by some stuff. Oral minoxidil, being systemic, may cause more significant side effects, including fluid retention, rapid heart rate, and increased body hair!!!!!!

It gave me some spots where I applied it and a bit of dryness but I'm pretty sure it goes away after a while so don't worry about it
