Isn’t it crazy that no one will ever see the world exactly the way you do?
To everyone else, you’re only a small part of their life, just like they’re only a small part of yours. Even in a friend group where everyone is close, every connection is completely unique each person shares a different bond, different memories, different conversations, and a different version of themselves with everyone else.

When you really think about it, every person around you has a life just as deep and complex as your own their own thoughts, fears, routines, ambitions, relationships, and inner world that you’ll never fully see. There’s something both humbling and fascinating about realizing that billions of people are all living lives as vivid to them as yours is to you.

The most brutal reality check of this is probably death. When someone you knew dies, you suddenly realize that their entire life every decision, every relationship, every moment all converged to that single end. And for them, that’s it. No turning back, no unfinished thoughts explained, no hidden parts of themselves you’ll ever get to understand. Their inner world disappears with them.

You notice it too when you reconnect with old acquaintances. People change so much over time that they almost become strangers again. Even with someone as close as your girlfriend or wife, you’ll never truly know her completely. You only see the parts of her world she consciously or unconsciously chooses to share with you, while the rest remains locked inside her own mind forever.

But were you truly born that way, or did your mind, consciously or not, shape you into the mold you now call yourself?
