Naturemaxxing is a topic not talked enough about.

Now, I know I’m still a greycel on here, but what I’m talking about is all backed by early research, science and my own experiences.

Naturemaxxing involves many things like being in the sun, fresh air etc. I’m talking about my personal favourite, grounding, which happens when you’re walking barefoot on grass.

Your nervous system has 2 branches,
1. Sympathetic - stress, increased heart rate and cortisol.
2. Parasympathetic - calm slower heart rate, relaxed state.
Most people spend much of their time in sympathetic mode. This is important because grounding (skin contact with grass) seems to increase your body’s parasympathetic nervous branch in activity. Grounding also helps regulate cortisol, which reduces biochemical stress.
Barefoot contact with the ground can also increase awareness, which lowers mental stress.

This is still early research, but as previously mentioned, I myself have noticed significantly lower stress from walking barefoot on grass everyday. None of this is immediately effective, you have to do it for a long time and multiple times to see and feel any changes.

Everything around me is city. You have to go 10 km to find any nature and if i want to walk on grass only choice i have is to walk on the grass patches at the park where there is a "do not step on the grass" sign
