Historically speaking if you were wealthy and had access to the necessary recourses you would spend all of your free time attempting to immerse yourself in an artistic or intellectual endeavour. Any king, prince, lord, duke etc would have a special talent for at least one of these arts (poetry, painting, philosophy etc), any one of these people would be making impressive feats within their chosen niche and although they wouldn't all be Mozart they would still be dedicated to their craft. Cut to today and due to the internet we have access to literally everything, every book that has ever been written and catalogued can be found for free, you can take a free course in nearly any topic yest despite that nobody is doing jackshit. The majority of our generation is barley literate and their hobbies start and end within tictok, most people have access to every topic and yet specialize in none. Idk I just wanted hear your thoughts on this. I might make a few more threads like this soon.

I think talent is the wrong word but they would be educated
State policy, administration, Judgment, law, Diplomacy, Court and household management in the coffin :AYAYAHey:

Kings & princes weren't much different from current top presidents and their families. Princes and kings weren't like some anime or romance novel jfl

Political endeavours still fit within my point, I'm not saying every member of nobility was an artists. I am mostly pointing out how more people made more use out of their limited recourses then people do now with limitless resources. I am saying the average person has access to all they need but chooses not to. Also the last comment is putting words in my mouth lol, I don't even watch anime .

Pianos, violins, and stuff like that are useless now. You can’t really show off with them anymore. I spent time learning instruments and useless mind0numbing games that only my cousins even know about.
It just gives off some nerd vibe instead of being something glorious. Nobody cares about philosophy either since most people can’t think past basic religious sludge.
Those things used to entertain people, but now looks, sports, and academics get you way more glory than some dusty piano routine.
