Ill make this whole thing quick btw, read every single word, i won’t do a colorful thread, you NEED to read every single word.​

Pre-requisites:
- Botox vial
- Insulin syringes (12,7mm, 27G are the ones i used off of amazon)
- Alcohol swipes
- Surgical pen with a ruler (just find something to draw with)
- Saline water/Bac water

I will tell you how to get these, don’t worry

Why masseter botox?​

1) V-Shaped jaw
Popular in places like Korea, where softer features are appreciated (turns your jaw from square to V shaped)

2) Slimmer face (especially if your masseters are higher set)
Your masseters hides your bone, if you shrink it, you will be perceived more chiseled
—> CAN give hollow cheeks if your zygos are prominent enough, if your masseters are too big, sometimes they can ruin the shadow of the zygos (the case for me, flat maxilla, no facial depth but very wide and prominent zygos—> i need to reduce my masseters)

3) Health reasons
- If you have TMJ, this will fix your pain (you would probably need to botox the temporalis aswell, to fix headaches)
- Bruxism, self explanatory

Where to get botox?​

Acecosm.com —> good, it’s the amazon of korean cosmetics

Meamoshop.com —> cheap, lots of promos, AND QUICK SHIPPING (my personal pick)

Which botox brand?​

Beginner friendly: Innotox —> comes already reconstituted, all you need to do is inject

Overall best pick: Nabota —> Korean brand, known to quick in fast (within 2-3 days), and also cheap and lasts long

I personally bought 200IU Nabota kit, with insulin syringes + Saline water for around 90€, i took a Blentpa gel on top of it.
meamoshop.com also includes sterile gloves + a few skincare masks for you to test

100€ in total for everything, shipping arrived in 4 days to France.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO BOTOX:​

1) Reconstitution​

You are supposed to reconstitute with Saline water (you can find it in your local pharmacy for 5 bucks), but if you buy from meamoshop, you get it included.

However, you can use bacteriostatic water to prevent bacterias from getting into the vial, since Saline does not have any bacteria preventing traits (its just salt + water, for great absorption), still, i wouldnt reccomend, we will talk about it later.

Reconstitution steps:

If you plan to do masseter botox, do not put 5ML of saline for 200ius, since it’s too diluted, you will have to inject too much liquid into your jaw, it could then spread into your smile muscle (we will develop this later), and give you the joker smile

Instead, i wanted a 1:1 ratio, so for 10 units on a 100U syringe, i’d get 10 units of botox.
—> dilute with 2ML saline to get a 1:1 ratio

2) Preparation (before injection)​

We will inject into 3 points, for each masseter meaning you will need 6 syringes (to not be worried about injecting too much etc, you need to pre-load syringes)

Masseter botox usually requires 20-30 Units per side (unless you have bruxism —> 40-60 units per side, but if you do have bruxism, go see a professional)

I had an assymetry on my left side which was bigger than my right one, so i injected 30 units in my bigger side, and 25 units on my weaker one.

For 25Units of botox, i took 3 syringes and drew 8,5 units on each syringe

For 30Units of botox, i took 3 syringes and drew 10 units on each syringe

3) Markings and injection​

You NEED to mark these two first, because you will inject inbetween these two:

To find these, just clench as hard as you can, feel your muscle,


- Posterior Masseter
the end the of the muscle near your ear is your anterior masseter

- Anterior masseter
the end of the other side of your masseter

Trace these lines: EAR LOBE TO MOUTH LINE IS VERY IMPORTANT —> avoid the Risorius muscle (smile muscle, that pulls your lips)

IMPORTANT: Trace your injection points 1,5cm AWAY from your anterior masseter, your masseters have your facial artery flowing through them and its located near your anterior masseter. You need to avoid it.

Place your injection points 1cm away from each other

My points look retarded, but dont mind it, because at the end of the day i could still see the 3 points i needed to inject.

However don’t do only 1 injection like him.

Once you are done with your markings:

INJECTION TECHNIQUE​

Always desinfect your injection site everytime you pin, and before pinning

You need to inject IM (Intramuscular):

- 90 degree angle (look at the image)

You will feel slight uncomfortable feelings while pushing the needle into your muscle, push slowly through it, dont worry.

Try aspirating, just in case, to check if you’re on a vein/artery

You will feel a VERY slight burn during injection (NOTHING LIKE AQUALYX PAIN BTW), its normal.

If you feel extreme pain, do not inject, and re-adjust dont be retarded

4) Aftercare​

After injecting, you cannot sleep/lay flat, because the liquid might spread into your other muscles.

You have to stand/sit for 4 HOURS MINIMUM (amount of time saline is gonna take to get absorbed) , you cannot go to the gym.

Keep your jaw relaxed.

Dont be retarded and dont do this shit at night, because now i cant sleep until 3 AM (gotta watch TVD and keep getting mogged by ian somerhalder ig)

You can put a bit of warmth for 10 minutes after injection

You wont be swollen don’t worry, but expect issues clenching and eating for a few days

The aesthetic effects will start being visible after 2 weeks, and last up to 6 months

After a year of botox, one session may last up to a year

The more you do it, the less you’ll need to do it

5) STORAGE​

Conventionally, after reconstituting, you would need to throw it in the trash within 24 hours

Why?

Saline doesnt prevent bacterial growth —> risks of infection

If you put in your fridge, EVEN with bac water, your tox WILL lose its efficacity every single day but in a very inconsistant way : your vial could lose 99% of its use within 2 weeks, just like it could only lose 10% within the same time span
—> this is why i told you, just use Saline, like the brands suggest, since bac wont save your vial


This is an issue because you dont know how to dose your botox: 30IUS could turn into 15 ius in reality, due to the loss of efficiency

HOW TO FIX THIS?

As soon as your load your syringes, put your vial back in its original box, and freeze it after sterilizing it.

Freezing your vial will simple stop time, and keep it like it was before.

For Nabota, you can freeze and thaw up to 4 times without losing efficiency (most people dont talk about this shit, so i had to do my research)

TL;DR

1) avoid the risorius (smile muscle) --> do a line between your ear lobe/ mouth

2) draw lines vertically on the Anterior masseter / Posterior masseter

3) draw a 1cm line above the mandibular bone, to avoid the lip muscle

4) you now have a square drawn on your masseter: place 3 injection points each separated by 1cm

5) inject the units equally into the points







IMPORTANT POINTS:

- do not dilute too much, because if you put a lot of liquid, it may travel into your risorius and ruin your smile for a few months
- Always aspirate before injecting: theres the facial artery flowing through your masseter
- i will do 25 units on my right side, 30 on my left to fix the assymetry

Storage:

- conventionally, you're supposed to throw the vial away after 24 hours, even if you refridgerate it, however i prefer to put it back in its original box and freeze it
- if you refridgerate it, it will gradually lose its effects (depends, sometimes it may lose 100% of its effects in 2 weeks, sometimes it may lose 5%, but this uncertainty causes VERY bad unit calculations (you may think you're injecting 30IU, but you're injecting 5 in reality)
- if you have TMJ, you may also inject in the temporalis

Reconstitution:

- Use a phosphate saline buffered solution, OR bacteriostatic water (unconventional, since brands recommend only saline, but some may use BAC to store it in the fridge and avoid bacterias, but this wont reverse the expiration of the vial, since the botox will still lose its efficacity, even without bacterias.

Why masseter botox?​

1) V-Shaped jaw
Popular in places like Korea, where softer features are appreciated (turns your jaw from square to V shaped)

2) Slimmer face (especially if your masseters are higher set)
Your masseters hides your bone, if you shrink it, you will be perceived more chiseled
—> CAN give hollow cheeks if your zygos are prominent enough, if your masseters are too big, sometimes they can ruin the shadow of the zygos (the case for me, flat maxilla, no facial depth but very wide and prominent zygos—> i need to reduce my masseters)

3) Health reasons
- If you have TMJ, this will fix your pain (you would probably need to botox the temporalis aswell, to fix headaches)
- Bruxism, self explanatory

I personally bought 200IU Nabota kit, with insulin syringes + Saline water for around 90€, i took a Blentpa gel on top of it.
meamoshop.com also includes sterile gloves + a few skincare masks for you to test

100€ in total for everything, shipping arrived in 4 days to France.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO BOTOX:​

1) Reconstitution​

You are supposed to reconstitute with Saline water (you can find it in your local pharmacy for 5 bucks), but if you buy from meamoshop, you get it included.

However, you can use bacteriostatic water to prevent bacterias from getting into the vial, since Saline does not have any bacteria preventing traits (its just salt + water, for great absorption), still, i wouldnt reccomend, we will talk about it later.

If you plan to do masseter botox, do not put 5ML of saline for 200ius, since it’s too diluted, you will have to inject too much liquid into your jaw, it could then spread into your smile muscle (we will develop this later), and give you the joker smile

Instead, i wanted a 1:1 ratio, so for 10 units on a 100U syringe, i’d get 10 units of botox.
—> dilute with 2ML saline to get a 1:1 ratio

2) Preparation (before injection)​

We will inject into 3 points, for each masseter meaning you will need 6 syringes (to not be worried about injecting too much etc, you need to pre-load syringes)

Masseter botox usually requires 20-30 Units per side (unless you have bruxism —> 40-60 units per side, but if you do have bruxism, go see a professional)

I had an assymetry on my left side which was bigger than my right one, so i injected 30 units in my bigger side, and 25 units on my weaker one.

For 25Units of botox, i took 3 syringes and drew 8,5 units on each syringe

For 30Units of botox, i took 3 syringes and drew 10 units on each syringe
