Why does it feel like life is messing with me? These past few days, I’ve been going through situations I usually try to ignore. Normally I don’t give them much importance, but lately it’s like everything I dislike is happening repeatedly. I used to think I wouldn’t have to deal with certain things again—like how people talk or things related to my neurodivergence that I hoped wouldn’t affect me anymore, that I had already changed. But I didn’t. And now I feel it all again.
Maybe it’s not that everything is happening at once, but that it’s happening at the same frequency as always—and now I just don’t have anything to cope with it. Before I had something, even if it was temporary. Now I don’t, and I’m facing it directly.
So maybe nothing changed externally—what changed is that I don’t have anything buffering it anymore. And that’s why it feels overwhelming. It’s a really weird period of my life.
