Squats and Leg press are the most over Fucking rated thing you can do for Legs.
(in fact, dont even do them I beg you.)
This is all you Need for MOGGER Legs:
Reasoning:
The Solution:

This is all you Need for MOGGER Legs:
Reasoning:
Before I dig deep into this, we need to understand all 4 heads of the quadriceps n the bias:
A common redirect that gets thrown around:
"Its a core foundational Movement Brah, you can have nice legs without squats brah"
Well lets look this recent study than shall we
:
A 8 week study was done on 63 untrained women comparing the Smith Back Squat V.S the Leg extension in terms of quad strength and hypertrophy
Source : https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/41379528/
As we can see, the leg extension nearly matched almost every quadriceps hypertrophy outcome measured in the study, despite being treated in Gym Bro culture like an “Pussy isolation movement.”
The only region where squats showed a fucking Molecule of advantage was the Vastus Lateralis (VL) - the outer sweep of the quad that many people consider one of the most aesthetic regions of the Quad. The Difference in hypertrophy was only around 0.10 cm of additional growth in the squat group
So yes the squat did slightly bias on head being the outer Quad sweep by 47% (0.10cm difference btw). Meanwhile the Leg extension Mogged every other head in terms of hypertrophy which begs the question:
For someone training purely for aesthetics and to MOG, is the additional fatigue cost of squats and leg presses truly justified for a minuscule difference in hypertrophy ?
FUCK NO
!!!!!!!!!
Mind you this doesnt even factor in the fact that squat movements works abductor's thus reducing the appearance of the Dih in terms of proportions

The Solution:
2 sets of Leg Extensions (5-8) Rep Range:
(1-2x) a Week
2 sets of Hamstring Curls (5-8) Rep Range:
(1-2x) a week
That's Fucking it all you really need !!!
This way you will look Mogger in shorts/Brief's
:
WHILE Protecting Dih Proportions
:
(due to no extra stimuli to abductor's)
TD;LR the Fatigue from squats/leg press is not worth it if your only goal is to have decent aesthetic legs, the squat doesnt offer much more than what is believed that leg extensions cant already do adequately.
