The blue light coming from screens trick your stupid pea sized brain into thinking it’s daytime, and when your brain thinks it’s daytime it suppresses Melatonin which is the hormone that makes you sleepy.

Since blue screen light reduces Melatonin production a lot you won’t fall into a deep sleep in the middle of the day. But, when it is time for you to sleep, blue screen light will not allow you to fall asleep. This is because blue screen light rapes Melatonin production.
