I’m 6’2.2
I turned 17 5 days ago
Mom: 5’9” Dad: 6’5”
dk bone age from this gpt said looks probably 16.5–17+
Doctor that isn’t specialized in an area that would know how to predict height (pretty sure he’s a pediatrician, wasn’t my regular though)
said that the Open Evidence ai he used
told me I will be 6’4” to 6’6
which is crazy, I don’t believe it.
but bro i couldn’t hold back how happy I was
I was cheesing like crazy
even though ik it could be inaccurate, I thought I was done fs.
Yes I sent the images to chatgpt (not for figuring out) just to see if it can give an estimate as well quickly and lmk how wrong he could be.
The doctor said the Open Evidence ai used the Bayley-Pinneau method.
Which gpt told me “can overestimate adult height, including a validation cohort where BP overestimated by a median 4.1 cm.”
and said
“Most likely: you still have some growth left. 6’5: possible if your official bone age is clearly delayed, but I would not bank on it.
More realistic from this image: something like 6’2.5–6’4 unless the official bone-age number is surprisingly young.”
So I need the bone age from the report, which idk if it’s gonna be accurate but prolly
I should get the info in like a day I think through an app I downloaded
stg if this doctor doesn’t know what he’s talking about
When looking into height prediction what should I know?
Is my doctor getting my hopes up?
