12–24 hours after shaving my face, i always get these pimples that burn when i touch them. is this acne, and how can i prevent it?

Its ingrown hair try shaving with a one blade razor and dont shave the opposite way the hair grows

it usually stays for a day or two for me

wash it off with cold water when done and clean towel thats it, apply lotion or any moisturizer.

aren't those just razor burns?
the first time i used a razor at sideburns and neck, it turned completely red with those pimples or whatever and i looked like a fucking disgusting pig for like 2 weeks. I'm never touching a razor again.

yeah im pretty sure those are razor burns. i have very hairy genetics, so i had to start shaving at 14/15. now im 16 turning 17, and i dont like growing out a beard because people assume im over 20.
