bro im so done with this
you start talking to someone and suddenly they're hitting you with all this heavy emotional stuff like "I've never felt this connected before" or "I really like you already" after like two dates. feels like half the time it's just performative bullshit to pull you in faster or get you hooked on comforting them.
we've all exaggerated our feelings a little at some point to make things smoother or get what we want but now it seems like the default move.
told a couple friends that sometimes you gotta play the game a bit in relationships (not full manipulation, just not being brutally raw 24/7) and they looked at me like I was a sociopath.
Am I crazy or is most of this "vulnerability" just seeking for attention and sympathy?
