Serious Is eplerenone helpful if you're not on cycle?

I ordered 200 pills of 25 mg eplerenone from Indiamart but I just read somewhere that it only makes a significant difference if you're on roids. Did I waste my money or can it still be helpful? Maybe i was reading bs im not sure
