I have a recessed maxilla and I’ve known it for a while now. It’s not something I’m guessing about anymore—it’s obvious to me every time I see my side profile or certain angles, my midface looks flat, my upper jaw sits back, and it just throws off my whole facial balance,

What makes it worse is how much it affects my confidence, i catch myself thinking about it way more than I should, and it’s hard not to compare myself to people with stronger forward growth

I’m not here to cope or pretend it’s not there, I just want to know what actually works. Not fake fixes or placebo stuff, but real ways to improve it, whether that’s through habits, orthodontics, or anything else

If anyone here has dealt with the same thing or has legit advice on what can be done (especially without surgery, but I’m open to hearing everything), I’d appreciate it

Maxillary surgery is prolly the only option assuming that you are in your late teens
