Humans are the only animal with chins are other ape counter parts have jaws (of course) but don’t have chins

This is so crazy how we just have parts of our bodies that have no actual use other than finding mates.

A healthy high testosterone man with good genetics will have a prominent chin and that’s why they are seen as attractive.

:banderas::banderas::banderas::banderas::banderas::banderas::banderas::banderas::banderas:

first of all ,chimps just have bi-maxillary protrusion, not chin recession
2nd of all, they have different anatomy

Humans with recessed chin:
  • Airway Issues: The tongue can be pushed back, narrowing the airway, leading to snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
  • TMJ Disorders: Increased strain on the jaw joints causes pain, clicking, headaches, and muscle fatigue.
  • Biting & Chewing Difficulties: An overbite makes it hard to bite food, potentially wearing down back teeth.
  • Speech Impediments: Can affect the clear pronunciation of certain sounds.
  • Aesthetic Concerns: A less prominent chin and unbalanced facial profile.
  • In Infants: Can interfere with feeding and weight gain (micrognathia).

:banderas::banderas::banderas::banderas::banderas::banderas:

Reduces the impact of a punch to the brain.

Less stress on jaw joints.

Pulls the tongue and other soft tissues forward, preventing them from collapsing during sleep and blocking the airway.

Lip support, making it easy to close your mouth.
