A lot of people in the looksmaxxing community try to leanmax or go on extreme diets like carnivore because of low-IQ fitness influencers and self-proclaimed diet gurus preaching carnivore, keto, or other restrictive diets while overhyping their benefits.
Many influencers also overemphasize leanmaxxing, as a supposedly healthier alternative to steroids or pharmaceuticals.

This creates an unhealthy obsession with food and leads to distorted thinking about eating.
Essentially, a lot of people in this community end up developing eating disorders.
Many see food only as a source of taste, protein, or micronutrients, and they stop enjoying it.
Even after understanding the importance of energy and carb intake, that subconscious bias against eating often remains.
Stimulants or other substances that suppress appetite make this issue even worse.

Personally, I’ve been feeling down lately because I’ve been eating less than I should while taking steroids, multivitamins, and vitamin D on an animal-based diet, even though I know it’s not very healthy, but 2-year-old gatis brainwash is still affects my psyche towards food.

Now when I eat sweets or drink things like fruit juice or hot chocolate, or eat chocolate cake, I actually feel much better, both while eating and afterward, since I’m finally getting enough calories.
All I’m saying is that eating tasty food and enjoying sugary drinks once in a while can genuinely help if you’ve developed weird or restrictive thoughts about food. Just try not spiking insulin too much & taking something else like fiber, or complex carbs or fat that'll slow the quick absorption of sugar.

This isn’t to dismiss leanmaxxing; it still matters. I’ll probably go on tren and continue refining myself soon.
But don’t do it all year round; eat at maintenance or in a small surplus and adjust your leanmaxxing plans accordingly.

this is why I don't like when people say protein shakes are overrated, as long as its enjoyable, you should do it, at least within healthy ranges

Protein shakes taste horrible though. And it's hard to digest on your stomach too.
and protein is highly overrated
some lean meat dish or eegwhites as a sandwich etc. mogs that

tho If you like protein shakes (which is hard for me to imagine), you can go for it

my idea of a protein shake is 1 scoop of protein ice cream + 1 scoop of protein powder + milk
