im doing this shit cus in my country so many people thinks dairy products gives you acne but i found this(this isnt a so big research but i want to know what you guys think)
(Im still confused cus some studies says maybe dairy products gives acne and others found possitive relationship between dairy products and acne, so, what u guys think about this?)
Large observational studies and meta-analyses suggest a positive association between dairy consumption and teenage acne. Research—including major cohorts like the Harvard Nurses’ Health Study and subsequent meta-analyses—indicates that higher intakes of total dairy, particularly skim and low-fat milk, are linked to a higher prevalence and severity of acne.Key Findings from Major StudiesSkim Milk Connection: Several studies have found a stronger association between acne and skim/low-fat milk compared to full-fat varieties. Researchers speculate this may be because skim milk has a higher glycemic load or contains higher levels of bioavailable androgens and growth hormones, while processing full-fat milk may dilute these components.Boy and Girl Cohorts: Studies tracking large groups of teenagers (ages 9 to 15+) found that milk consumption correlates positively with teenage acne in both sexes.Cheese and Yogurt: While milk is heavily implicated, some meta-analyses have found mixed or statistically insignificant results when isolating foods like cheese and yogurt compared to liquid milk. The Proposed MechanismExperts hypothesize that hormones naturally present in milk (such as Insulin-like Growth Factor-1, or IGF-1) and certain whey proteins trigger physiological changes in the body. These compounds can stimulate the production of sebum (skin oil) and promote inflammation, both of which are primary drivers of acne.Clinical Recommendations & ConsiderationsDespite these epidemiological links, dermatological organizations emphasize that these observational studies cannot prove direct causation. Large-scale, randomized controlled dietary interventions verifying whether cutting out dairy actually cures or prevents acne are still limited.Because teenagers are in crucial developmental stages, health organizations strongly caution against eliminating entire food groups. Restricting dairy without professional guidance could lead to deficiencies in vital nutrients like calcium and vitamin D.For a deeper dive into the data, you can read the comprehensive JAAD Dairy Consumption Review or access the PubMed Acne and Dairy Analysis. large observational studies and meta analyses suggest a positive association between dairy consumption and teenage acne
