Assuming you aren't facially deformed, you would most likely benefit from dreads. Here is the catch, a majority of guys with dreads lack the time to properly maintain them or just straight up don't know how to maintain them. This is where the "ugly" and "dirty" sterotype comes in as dreads are a HUGE looksmin if they aren't properly maintained.

Start of with a taper or a full head of hair (do not get a fade or hightop)
Make sure you get a tapered hairline so that the locs don't make your hairline recede.

Once your hair reaches your nose get comb coils (make sure you get like 70-100 locs, don't get 10 bro) and firm the ugly look until they lock (depending on your hairtype could take a few months+). Then once your hair is long enough you want to get a two strand twist, maintain that look for a month, then rock the twist out for a month. To maintain the two strand twist it is essential you wear a bonnet to the shower and do not take it off until you are OUT the bathroom. To maintain the twist out tie your hair into different sections and wear a bonnet before you go to sleep (do not get it wet as always). With this plan you'll be getting a retwist every 2 months.
Example of what you could achieve... not many individuals have dreads and even those who do don't have this sort of look which indirectly gives you an exotic bonus as shown below.

Not really. I prefer to keep my appearance private on this forum and avoid situations like what happened on .org.
