Basic Peptides Guide (2025 Edition)
Hi, today I’ll be covering Peptides. This is gonna be a very basic guide on what works and what doesn’t. This is also my first guide ig.
TOPICAL PEPTIDE SERUMS (The Ordinary, Medik8, etc.)
What actually works a little:
Copper peptides (GHK-Cu) → modest collagen boost, wound healing, some anti-inflammatory effect. Visible but slow improvement in skin texture and firmness.
Matrixyl (palmitoyl pentapeptide-4) & Argireline → small reduction in fine lines.
Reality check
Most topical peptides are too big to penetrate past the stratum corneum in meaningful amounts. The skin improvement is like 5–20 percent max after 6–12 months. For serious looksmaxxing (jawline, eye area, collagen density), topicals are basically cope unless you’re already 8/10 and just maintaining.
INJECTED PEPTIDES (what actually works)
BPC-157 / TB-500
Faster healing of skin, tendons and gums which helps with gym recovery.
GHK-Cu (injectable)
Way stronger than topical. Remodels collagen, reduces inflammation, thickens skin and can improve hair thickness. SubQ 1–2 mg/day for 30–60 days gives visible skin glow and firmness.
Commonly used and thrown around on TikTok:
1. Growth hormone secretagogues (CJC-1295, Ipamorelin, Tesamorelin)
Increases IGF-1 which means better collagen synthesis, fat loss (especially submental and double chin), tighter skin and better sleep/face leanness.
Tesamorelin specifically melts visceral and neck fat which sharpens the jawline even without weight loss.
People running 3–6 month cycles of CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin report more defined bone structure because of facial fat redistribution.
2. Semaglutide / Tirzepatide (GLP-1 agonists)
Not a peptide in the bodybuilding sense but the single biggest cheat code for face ascension right now. Losing 10–20 pounds of body and face fat reveals cheekbones you never knew you had.
My ranking for actual ascension impact (2025 Edition)
1. GLP-1 (Ozempic/Mounjaro) → 10/10 face fat loss
2. HGH secretagogues → 8–9/10
3. Injectable GHK-Cu + BPC-157 → 7/10
4. Retinoids (tretinoin) + sunscreen → 6/10
5. Topical peptides → 2–3/10 maintenance only
Bottom line
Topical peptide serums = skincare cope for people scared of needles.
If you’re serious about ascending in 2025–2026, it pretty much has to come from:
• Professional or careful DIY injectable peptides (GH secretagogues + GHK-Cu)
• GLP-1s for face fat
• Proper tretinoin + sunscreen as the foundation
• Diet that supports gut health and lower inflammation
