Id say FME 2.0 mogs MARPE hard, it's not anchored to your molars so it less likely to cause any gum discomfort or tipping as its a bone to bone expander, also it has way more control as it has 6-10 mini tads anchored to the roof of your mouth, it also engages more bone volume per screw as TADs are now placed at a diagonal or oblique angle, and even though it's newer than MARPE the studies done on FME show it's way more stable when expanding and it will help you avoid the most common risk with MARPE which is asymmetrical expansion, if you have the money i would go for it, it mogs regular MARPE and almost every version of MARPE, custom MARPE can still work better but IMO the mechanism behind FME clears.
