Today i will discuss further about the topic of EQ...
1. What EQ Actually Is
EQ =
Emotional Intelligence
Already made a thread about EQ so make sure to check it out :
High EQ makes you appear confident, charismatic, and socially fluid.Low EQ makes you awkward, reactive, unable to connect.

2. Inhibition & Social Fluidity
What is "inhib"?
Inhib = social inhibition. It's the internal brake that stops you from expressing, acting, or initiating socially.
Signs of High Inhib:
- Overthinking before speaking.
- Feeling frozen when attention is on you.
- Reduced facial expressiveness.
- Difficulty starting conversations.
- Body language seems closed or rigid.
What lowers inhibition:
- Exposure to social interaction (reps).
- Body relaxation (physical and emotional).
- Familiarity with environments.
- Social success.
- Feeling like the "in-group".
What raises inhibition:
- Fear of judgment.
- Lack of experience.
- Trauma/shame memories.
- Harsh self‑monitoring.
- Low self-image.
3. Extroverts vs Introverts (Real Differences)
Not stereotypes — actual mechanisms.
Extroverts:
- Lower baseline inhib.
- Think through talking.
- Process faster in real-time social situations.
- More expressive non-verbally.
Introverts:
- Higher baseline inhib.
- Prefer thinking before speaking.
- Social battery drains quicker.
- Often sharper at deep observation.
Both can become socially skilled, but they train differently.Introverts → optimize for comfort, preparation, and smaller circles.Extroverts → optimize for focus, depth, and controlling impulsivity.(Of course being a extrovert in this generation is better LMAOOO)
4. How to Raise EQ (Step-by-Step)
Step 1: Start with Self-Awareness
Journal prompts(i know this sound corny but its scientificaly proven):
- "When do I feel tense socially?"
- "What triggers overthinking?"
- "How does my body react when I'm confident vs anxious?"
Track your emotions in real time.
Step 2: Build Social Intuition
Observe before participating:
- How are people spacing themselves?
- Who interrupts who?
- Who leads the conversation?
- What jokes land? What jokes are shit?
You learn 80% of social rules by watching.
Step 3: Social Reps System(for the ultra high inhibs)
Weekly social challenges:
- 3 simple greetings ("hey, what's up?") to strangers.
- Small talk with a cashier(preferably a foid).
- One question per new conversation ("How’s your day been?").
- One mini-story ("Today something funny happened...").
Reps build anti-inhib.
Step 4: Feedback Loop
Ask yourself after interactions:
- "What worked? What didn’t?"
- "Did I talk too fast?"
- "Was I relaxed or tense?"
Iterate like a gym workout.
5. Social Power Dynamics & Calibration
Signs of High Social Calibration:
- You match the tone of the group.
- You don’t overshare.
- You know when to talk vs listen.
- You aren’t shocked by social tension.
Signs of Low Calibration:
- Talking too much or too little.
- Missing hidden meanings.
- Laughing at the wrong times.
- Not noticing discomfort.
- Trying too hard.
How to Improve Calibration:
- Mirror energy slightly below the group average.
- Pay attention to microexpressions.
- Notice how often people interrupt (it shows closeness).
- Keep your responses short and clean.
In conclusion you will never have high EQ if ur already low EQ,this so called trainings and solutions cannot surpass a genetically born high EQ person!!!(NO HARDMAXXES FOR EQ AND IQ BOYOS)
