and i imagine its fairly high, not because everyone wants to act on it but because you get more and more desensitised to normal stuff and so you need something freakier

Reminder that you don't "need" something freakier. It's just that to become so rich and powerful imo you need you do a lot of evil things to get to that point, whether that be seeking your soul, sacrificing your son, or just not caring about the public's health for profit

you dont "need" something freakier, but when whatever you're already doing is no longer stimulating, and you have the ability and power to escalate with little to no consequences, its purely logical to expect that escalation

and yea you are right about becoming wealthy, greed is the true sin that leads to all this
