Your Thyroid gland regulates your metabolism, growth and tissue repair (hair, skin, nails, muscles)

Having sufficient thyroid function is therefore crucial to looksmaxxing.

Thyroid and looks

Too low or too high thyroid levels can affect a number of different aspects of your looks. Skin, hair growth, fat distribution, bloating, bone structure, health makerks, (eyes, lips), alert how you look.

Optimal thyroid levels for looks:

TSH (0.8-2.0 mIU/L)

Free T4 (1.1-1.4 ng/dl)

Free T3 (3.5-4.0 pg/ml)

T3 and Bone development.

Without sufficient T3 levels, facial bone remodeling won’t work because GH wont convert into IGF-1, which is what causes expression in sutures like maxilla, allowing for bone development

This is why you need to optimize T3, in addition to GH and IGF-1 for facial bone development to even happen.

What worsens thyroid

PUFA from seed oils, Elevated cortisol (chronic stress, poor sleep), blue light at night, low idione intake, low selenium intake, high fluoride exposure all worsen thyroid function.

Even if training and diet is good, these things will cause you to grow less and slower.

How to optimize T3?

Avoid the negative factors from the previous paragraph. Eat enough food daily, especially carbs (150g minimum) focus on getting these nutrients (iodine, selenium, zinc, magnesium, iron, vitamin A) through foods like cod, idioized salt, brazil nuts, liver, eggs, dairy.

No blue lights after 8 pm (avoid screens or use filter) resistance training 3-5x per week, limit stress/cortisol, (meditation, nature walks, high quality sleep)
