thats basically what i was thinking mid-parent height is just an average, individual variation can be pretyy big. i mean it makes sende that some height alleles didnt fully express in my parents but did in me

from what I've noticed MPH is inaccurate
my dad ended up 6cm taller than MPH
his brother ended up 12cm taller JFL.
and now I'm on track on exceeding MPH by 8-10cm, my brother's gonna exceed it by 15-17cm.
