I’ll break down what you need, how to do it, and what to avoid.
I used about 12 ml of 16% carbamide peroxide gel, but honestly 9 ml is already plenty.
You’ll also need a mouth tray (I grabbed mine from Amazon – make sure it’s moldable to your teeth).

1. Prep
• Heat water to 80°C / 176°F.
• Dip the tray in for 5–10 seconds, then quickly press it onto your teeth.
• Bite down gently so it molds to your shape.
2. Application
• Brush your teeth first, then dry them as much as possible (I used cotton pads and even toilet paper).
• Put a tiny dot of gel on each tooth slot in the tray.
• Pop the tray in, press lightly, and leave it.
• I personally wore mine overnight.
3. What to Avoid (super important!)
• Staining foods/drinks for at least 48 hours → coffee, tomatoes, berries.
• Acidic stuff like citrus fruits, sodas, etc.
• Smoking/vaping.
• Brushing right after → wait 30–60 minutes.
• Swallowing the gel or letting it touch your gums.
Better Alternatives
• Stick to the “White Diet” → rice, pasta, chicken, fish, yogurt, bananas.
• Use a straw for drinks.
• Go for sensitive toothpaste (potassium nitrate, hydroxyapatite).
• Apply fluoride or remineralizing gel at night.
