Oxytocin is the hormone that is the "love" hormone. This hormone can promote bone growth, in the way that it does this is that there is oxytocin receptors on the bone cells. So when oxytocin is released into the the body the first that it will hit is the brain, then the bones, what it does is promotes osteoblasts differentiation and function, leading to an increased bone formation with no effect on bone resorption and improvement of bone microarchitecture. In men oxytocin is much less effective due to oxytocin synthesizing with estrogen to reverse the effect of bone loss with estrogen. Although in men it can produce slight bone increase it will not help during osteoporosis in men showing in men the effect is not that strong. So if your a man oxytocin with help slightly with bones but it is not the main hormone to focus on for bone growth.
