im curious what is the optimal amount of time to gum chewing per day to get masseter growth

ive heard 30 min daily is "enough" to grow your masseter, but just like any other muscle im guessing you can overtrain your masseter too, so over 4 hours is wildly overdoing it probably

im curious what you guys think

i wish it was that simple

the core results of your chewing depends completely on how your ramus has developed. what matters is slope/eversion of the ramus or gonial flare at the angle of mandible. if your ramus has developed in such a way that it is inverted/inwardly developed, chewing will make you look bloated since there's no gonial flare at the angle. but if the ramus is everted/outwardly developed, chewing (up to an extent + if done right) will make it look angular since the underlying bone structure is built for that level of angularity.

flared gonions or death.

yes, and same with straight gonions.
only outward gonions can pull it off.

straightened ramus would probably be fine too, not a problem. i just wanted to mention the two extremes - everted ramus v. inverted ramus.

are you an amputee? if not, use your hands
better yet, get a CBCT or cephalometric analysis
sure... but WHAT am i looking for with my hands? i can feel my masseter and ramus but how do i tell if its "inwardly developed"
