Barber dropped a high skin fade and chopped like 2 inches off my fringe after I asked for a taper fade and nothing off the top.

(Basically a 1 for 1 replica of what he dropped)
How do I stop this shit from happening again (it’s happened 4 times at different barbers)

Go to a non mainstream barber run by 20-40 yr old white man

It was, barber was like a decent guy but can’t cut hair. All 4 I’ve gone too have are like niche enough but popular within schools or group and I’ve made it clear not to take length off the top

Might just be a UK thing tbh
I live in uk and my haircuts are 50/50 bc i rarely like my hair short. Be on good terms and acc talk w ur barber and be consistent w him and you'll get better cuts bc he will be more intrigued in it

Easiest way to stop it from happening is stop going to a random local barbershop because most of the time they suck, and book your own barber too. Also, show a picture of what you want, don’t just say it with words, you need to visually show it.

I have my own little barber who is tucked away in a little room by a bus depot. So niche and he's a great guy

I mean I get it but taper and nothing off the length is so clear but they think they know better than you with some shit trim, one guy said he HAS to take length off and we went back and forth for like 5 minutes and then he just went ahead. Dropped a shit review and never went back but it was like over 20 quid aswell, pisses me off
