Haven’t seen a thread for this yet. I guess I have to do it since I have the most experience.

  • Criteria
Fit/Comfort (will not fall off during cardio/deadlifts).
    Sweat/Water Resistance
Motivational Bass (heavily weighted bass for lifting PRs).
    No Battery/Lag (Wireless).
  • Cost/Benefit
Top Budget (Under $50 — Good Starting Points):
The wired Apple EarPods ($20) are classic wired headphones that have a dead battery as an option, the mids/highs are very clean, they are light weight and you can get a secure fit for running/lifting. They don't have ANC, but there is zero lag.

  • Optimization: The best budget backup option for the life of your wireless headphone — they also sound great for podcasting/calls between sets.
The Soundcore ( or Sport X10) ($40-$80) are wireless headphones or earbuds with long battery life (40h+), great ANC and bass, and an app for customizing EQ in your gym playlist. Sweat-resistant.
Optimization: Best bang for your buck — choose the Q30 for over-ear comfort (to avoid ear fatigue) or the X10 for true wireless freedom.
Amazon.com: Soundcore Q30 by Anker, Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones, Multiple Modes, Hi-Res Audio, Custom EQ via App, 50H Playtime, Comfortable Fit, Bluetooth, Multipoint Connection : Electronics
  • Best High Budget (Overkill $300+ — Worth Every Dollar):
The or WF-1000XM5 ($300-$400) are the king of ANC (block gym noise), adaptive sound, 30h battery, and LDAC hi-res audio. Earbuds fit securely with foam tips.
Optimization: Use bass boost mode for heavy lifting — the audio will be crystal clear and deep. Auto pause when speaking to a spotter.
Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones with Microphone, Silver - Walmart.com

  • Best Overall (Goldilocks Zone $150-$250 — The Pick):
The Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 ($200) has a sensory bass slider (feel the drops — will give you extra motivation for lifting PRs), 60h battery, and great ANC. It also has customizable EQ/app. A secure fit and it's sweat-resistant.
Optimization: The bass haptic feedback (feels like a subwoofer on your head) gives you the most pump (best feeling) compared to all other options. I'd say the Crusher ANC 2 is my daily driver (bass + battery crushes competition). Wired Apple EarPods for those no charge days. If broken — go to the Soundcore. If broke and money is no object — go to the Sony.
Personal rank: Crusher ANC 2 daily driver (bass + battery destroys competition). Wired Apple backup for no-charge days. Soundcore if broke. Sony if money doesn't play a factor.
