I've tried it before and it works would recomend a derma stamp tho cuz the roller sometimes rips bits of hair out

minoxidil has lots of scientific studies backing it up but the thing is like almost everything else once you start you can't stop or it'll revert back to your hairline's original condition.

as for derma rolling, derma stamps are better because they prevent tearing the skin if the needles are a different width at the base.

if you were to use both though make sure not to use it on the same day.
